Born amidst a thunderstorm and delivered from her ancestors (Anishinaabe / Cherokee) through the Thunderbird, she derives her performing name from her Mayan birthday. Heavily inspired by the Sufi poet Rumi as well as sound healing, Bhakti, field recordings and experimentation with found sounds, she engages in a transcendent, channeling and intuitive process in creating her art. She is the 7th generation of fine artists who were illustrators and commercial artists as well as worked in fibers, ink and paint. Predominately taught by watching her mother and grandfather, she also has studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, Sophia University's Creative Expression post graduate program, and numerous hours of art history and methods with individual artists and through museums around the country. She is also specializes in Therapeutic, Shamanic, Contemplative and Intuitive Art. She is also an Expressive Art Facilitator, Therapist and Coach.

I have always been attached to paint, ink, pencil, photography and fibers. I work from a meditating state that induces an open channel, or stream of consciousness creating from the Creator. I have always been attached to paint, ink, pencil, photography and fibers. I work from a meditating state that induces an open channel, or stream of consciousness creating from the Creator. Through that, I am able to channel messages and images from the other side to us. These images come as shadows, faces, words, pictures, and all have a spirit to them and want to be seen. I also work in mindful and meditative art with contemplative practice. My photography is from the Miksang Tradition technically. Contemplative Photography is something I have done naturally my entire life. Growing up around fine art illustrators, art was intimidating. It was when I allowed myself and my mind to escape the traditional art model and work with sprit and expressive art, process, not product, that I found my niche. It just so happens that they, both art and music, turn out pretty well.

Working in original composition, she focuses on the intertwining of creative composition utilizing organic to electronic, vocal to field recording, and everything else in between. Soft synths, pianos, world touches, soft voice effects, field recordings and experimentation with organic instrumentation (viola, crystal, harmonium, sruti box, tanpura, esraj and Tibetan bowls, experimental organic sounds), to create arrangements with a cinematic depth. Some pieces feature female vocals - whispered phrases, soaring wordless utterances and chants. Whether it is atmospheric ambient, chill, meditation or light new age, her music invokes your senses and emotion. Her releases can be found under Magnetic Wind, Wen'deya, Mesawzee and Jess12Crows.
She has also provided vocals for numerous bands of varying genre's and records meditations and guided imagery journeys.
